Worship
We want worship to happen here now and for generations to come. Addressing our infrastructure will enable our congregation to gather under Christ’s Word and around His Ordinances.
Discipleship
The renovation will put discipleship ministries front and center in our space. We’ll move our ministries for the youngest and oldest to the main floor where we can serve them best.
Fellowship
We’ll open our floor plan and improve our lobby to make space for meaningful spiritual relationships and significant life events.

New Beginnings– In 2015, We started Resurrection Church while many people (especially investors) were moving out of Lincoln Park. We wanted to see God build a church where nothing new was being built.
Shocking Unity– While our nation grew increasingly more divided, we fought for unity and saw two churches become one in 2019. We saw God miraculously unite Friendship Baptist Church and Resurrection Church together as one and forge together 76 years of history with 5 years of history toward our Jesus Over Everything mission.
Spiritual Life– We’ve seen God save, heal, and restore. We’ve seen a community with unity and life grow up by the Spirit’s power. Different socio-economic, ethnic, political and age groups are uniting under Christ!
Resurrection Church is a Jesus Over Everything people by the grace of God!

We believe God is going to show more of the Jesus Over Everything future right here in Lincoln Park...
But, our church building, 50+ years old, is deteriorating to the point of affecting this mission and is not suitable for our exponential growth. If something does not change, we are uncertain that the work will go on.
To prepare the building for this generation and the generations after us, we are planning to not only repair the years of use but also reclaim the entire first floor to be used for worship, discipleship, and fellowship of Christ’s people.
